Abstract

In the work of integration assistance for people with disabilities the established understandings of spaces and roles can be changed. The usual distinction between common and private spaces can and must be further differentiated there. From the perspective of institutional Carework, this changes also the roles of the employees working in those organizations. The article reflects on experiences from the work of a Diaconical Foundation and develops suggestions for a differential approach. Particular attention is paid to experiences of the corona pandemic and the understanding of freedom in its different variants.
