Abstract

Are there characteristics of religious people's attitudes toward the use of violence and military force that differ significantly from corresponding attitudes of non-religious people? In other words, is there a connection between religiosity and war advocacy? This article addresses this question by embedding results from quantitative research on religion in the extensive theoretical discourse on the relationship between authoritarianism and religiosity and interpreting them against this background.
